SIKA DEER

Photo by Diana Simumpande on Unsplash

Sika deer, quiet indeed,
Peaceful child, never troublesome,
Rounded eyes that sparkle
When she smiles gleefully;
Gentle and very fragile.

Skin; Brown with elegance,
Kinky hair, stretched to look
And appear silk as silk fabric,
Soft spoken and playful,
A broken daughter.

Quiet but deadly,
Stubborn in trivial matters,
Gentle but poisonous,
Sweet yet bitter,
Stretched thin, she snaps.

Over a period of time,
Her true colours
Like a peacock’s feathers will spread;
Like a virus, her laughter
Will sip into your soul.

Humble and kind hearted,
Dangerous but friendly,
Little woman, very emphatic,
Broken but composed,
Your smile no longer reaches your eyes.

Your bubbly eyes hold no laughter,
Your smile has become sad,
You weep internally
And walk on the streets
With your head held high.

Turn around, you are not alone;
Will you ignore love and kindness
Even when it beckons to you,
Calling softly from the depth
Of your fragile broken soul?
