Anime Lover?

The first time I ever came across any anime was when I saw some boys at teen-church watching Naruto. I didn’t understand a word of the language but it didn’t bother me because I was just enjoying the colorful animations and the theme song, it still lives rent free in my head.

Fast forward to some years later, I visited a friend in school and he was watching a sport’s manga 'Kuroko’s basketball' and I was fascinated by the characters and their unique superpowers. It made me feel like a child that just wanted action especially with Aomine’s exceptional dunks. I thought I fell in love with basketball, you can’t blame me, prior to seeing the anime I had just watched Uncle Drew.

The fun thing about the manga was how they imbued superpowers and basketball prowess. It was amazing for me.

But I didn’t know how to download them and I totally forgot about them until I saw Castlevania Nocturne. I was sending movies from a fellow corper during one of our CDS days (I’ll tell you about Youth Service -NYSC- in Nigeria one day) and he sent me the cartoons.

I didn’t even know they were in my phone until one afternoon when I was very bored and decided to check other movies on my MX Player. I scrolled the various files until I saw some series under UC Browser. Honestly, I didn’t think much of it until I clicked on one and saw an interesting little boy and his mother walking along a deserted street. I got more invested when a vampire appeared and a battle between the Vampire Slayer and the Vampire (Olrox) began. I was beginning to enjoy myself.

Thus began my insatiable hunger for animes.

I eventually realized that I had seen a few episodes of the other Castlevania sometime in 2022 by chance. After watching Castlevania Nocturne, I asked a friend for directions on downloading mangas and he told me about Otaku tv on Telegram. I downloaded and watched every episode of Castlevania and introduced my little brother into the business.

Although I have my reservations about the manga, but the story was interesting. Trevor Belmont was crazy but Richter Belmont seems to have a little grip as opposed to his ancestor.

My desire to consume more animes or manga eventually led me to Demon Slayer and animepahe.com via another recommendation.

Honestly, this has been one of my best so far. A friend told me that mangas created by American companies are whack compared to the authentic Japanese manga and I doubted it but after Demon Slayer, I think the American ones are not as sophisticated as the Japanese authentic mangas. I don’t even want to talk about how Netflix is forcing gay love down people’s throats right now. It’s not by force. I want to see movies about romance or love between a man and woman .

See ehnnn, okay, let me speak in proper English. Honestly, the characters are amazing and I think I’m more like Zenitsu. He was such a scared, lover boy who wanted to marry and avoid fights. However, underneath that scared boy was a great warrior thanks to his grandfather’s effort.

Then there’s the star boy, Tanjirou and his demon sister, Nezuko. Their bond was something so strong that a waning five demon -Rui- sought their bond. Then there’s Inosuke. He doesn’t hear stop, just violence and competition. In my opinion, the cutest character is Nezuko but I love Tanjirou, he reminded me about what being a first child is like especially with his self-sacrificing nature.
