IF HE RETURNS

Google Photo

For if he returns, is he my husband.
Gentle and loving yet so bull-headed,
A master at his craft and other women;
His tongue coated in pristine sugar,
His face and body, an eye candy,
For if he returns is he my husband.

For if he returns, God bless him.
Albeit, wanted and chased by many women,
His caramel skin, sweaty, glows as the sun should,
As he provides for and protects his family,
A descendant of Shongo, with fire in his eyes,
For if he returns, God bless him.

For if he returns, will I call him my husband.
Gone since yesterday, I have heard no news,
My heart though heavy, drums a steady beat;
Unknown women have come bearing children,
For a mother and wife without property,
For if he returns, will I call him my husband.

I hope you enjoy this poem as much as I enjoyed writing it and posting here!!🥰🥰💕
