HE IS JEALOUS OF TREVOR NOAH
Trevor Noah
I have loved a certain Comedian and Presenter at the Daily Show (Before his resignation) namely Trevor Noah ever since I read one of his books in 2019 Titled “Born A Crime” which was published on 15th November, 2016. It is a great read in my opinion.
I love how he speaks, I love that he is cute and has dimples with his Afro. Most importantly, I love the way he laughs off controversial topics in a light but educative way, especially when he’s delivering a speech or presenting news. He is one of those people that make listening to news updates fun for me otherwise, News is boring.
I also love the fact that he is versatile, knowledgeable and reads a lot. I usually enjoy the interview segment he hosts on the Daily Show with Authors and other celebrities.
There is a quote from Trevor Noah’s book “Born A Crime” that really stuck with me, it’s something his mother told him often;
“Learn from your past and be better because of your past, but don’t cry about your past. Life is full of pain. Let the pain sharpen you, but don’t hold on to it. Don’t be bitter”-Patricia Nombuyiselo, Noah.
He grew up mining his problems and other situations into jokes because life can get really frustrating sometimes but the idea of laughing it off helps to give relief. This here, made me fall in love.
What I really love about Trevor Noah is his history and his relationship with his mother and family. The relationship he shared with his mother made me wish for such a strong bond with my children. Luckily, my mother also did her best which fuels the desire in me to be a good mother.
The Gist:
I posted a picture of Trevor on my WhatsApp status last year and my boyfriend sent me an eye emoji, like 'I’ve got my eyes on you!’. I also happened to have used Trevor’s picture as a temporary display picture on WhatsApp and my boyfriend literally went berserk, low-key berserk.
Boyfriend:
My boyfriend is my own brown chocolate guy with a head full of hair and a cute smile. He’s cute and quiet but can also be funny and he is true to himself. He is also smart and he likes to take care of people he cares for.
I love my boyfriend a lot and I love the relationship he has with his family, especially with his mom. They work as one, they are so united and they have each other’s back. One person dies, everybody comes together to give comfort to the grieving party, someone else gives birth and everyone is around to make the journey for both child and mother very comfortable. It gives me joy and a sense of pride that I may be a part of their family someday (or maybe not, I can’t say yet).
My boyfriend doesn’t know that he matters more to me than a funny comedian whom I have never met in my life but he always jokes with me, especially when I want to share a hug with him or kiss his bighead, he would say, “go and meet Trevor".
I told him I would like to have a son and call him Trevor, he told me that would be between me and my husband. The height of jealousy.
I understand though, having a partner that idolizes another person or celebrity can get you jealous and maybe angry.
I don’t bring up Trevor’s name anymore because I want my partner to feel at ease with me but he keeps joking about it and it can be quite upsetting and amusing occasionally. Regardless, I love that he likes to spend quality time with me and pay attention to what I say or do, and that is something Trevor Noah cannot give me.
Even though I come across Trevor in the future, by chance, I will just get an autograph and be on my way.
Thanks for reading! 🤗 🙏
